Indeed, I said yes to Switzerland... partly because Colombia seems to be saying "No" to me.

Just as I arrived, an opportunity arised in the Ministry of Finance. I got the interview just the day after I got here, and I actually managed to get into the next stage of the selection process. But they turned me down. Maybe because I was too honest by saying I had this opportunity in Switzerland, maybe because I put preasure on them to give me an answer soon enough for me to turn the swiss down, maybe because I still don`t have a proper tittle saying I graduated from the MSc (and this is quite a big deal in the public sector).

That same day I received an email from my former boss saying she had changed jobs; she knew I was about to come back so she offered me "something interesting" to do there. I haven`t been able to arrange the meeting so...

I'm left with nothing here. As may father said, I might have a thousand offers, but it is hard to make them as concrete and immediate as the swiss one. I'm also left with nothing here because I feel unease about living again with my parents: I think last year was the year when I really turned into an adult, so I still do not know what is to be an adult in this house; sometimes they say I'm mature enough to take my own decisions, but they still put preasure on me to make the one they consider is the best (that is the Ph.D in Switzerland).

I'm left empty-hearted because I had thought about two ways of changing my life: one here, with my boyfriend, and another one in Switzerland taking my career a bit less seriously. My boyfriend also turned me down, he does not feel ready leave his own home. So that means we're breaking up either way, because he's not going with me anywhere. 

I know I should feel happy, I know deep down this is the right decision, but I cannot help feeling, well, empty... and confused.
